The Magician Card I

Key: All things are possible

There is a youth in this card, he is holding his wand up to the sky or the heavens and pointing to the ground with his other hand. On a table in front of him is a cup, a sword, a wand and a pentacle, the 4 symbols that represent the four elements: water, fire, air and earth. They also represent emotions or imagination, problems, ideas and material or spiritual wealth.

I really like the mystery surrounding this card. He is complete, the first of the major arcana. The magician is elegant, he says to me: as above so below; I can do anything I set out to do. He's confident and sure of his tools and has a strong imagination and an equally strong determination to accomplish his goals.

In a reading when I see this card I usually think anything is can be accomplished. In the present this may mean that the person I'm reading for has a goal and there is all the elements here to pursue this goal. In the past, it may mean that they have begun a project that they will succeed at as all the elements are at their fingertips.
